After a cancelled Eurovision last year due to the Corona pandemic; a year later it was finally time to show the performance we have been working hard on for many months. Together with ballet dancer Ahmad Joudeh I performed the piece “A Close Encounter of a Special Kind”.
It’s clear, now more than ever, how important home has become. And even though we can’t always be together physically, it’s in this crisis that we have managed to find each other. The power of every individual in a world adrift is told in a unique performance made especially for tonight. Our tale begins with two young men. In a story about resilience and opening up to each other. We bring you the stunning Ahmad Joudeh and Dez Maarsen. This is “Close Encounters of a Special Kind”. – The Eurovision Song Contest celebrates diversity through music. Please keep your comments respectful.
